Recently we conducted what turned into a marathon Bike-a-thon with Medtronic Energy and Component Center in Minneapolis.
Medtronic is the poster child for company team spirit. Over the course of 2 days, a thousand Medtronic staffers assembled and donated 200 bikes to 4 charities!
It was a relay race to the finish line and we savored every minute…and every mile!
Comrades in kindness
During a break one day, the Magnovo team sat down to share our passion for charitable giving with the 4 charity reps. It’s extraordinarily rare for us to have the time for such a meeting. But then, everything about this charitable workshop was extraordinary and rare.
For example, the police officers who work with Bike Cops for Kids patrol the streets looking for opportunities to spread goodwill between the police and youth. Thanks to them, children in low-income neighborhoods trust that cops are their friends.
Shortly after we delivered their bikes, they wasted no time handing them off to their new owners. Within a few hours, they sent us photos of some very happy kids.
Simon Saves Give is a powerhouse of volunteerism. They train children to be leaders and help their peers become better students. Their goal: to touch the lives of 2 million kids by the year 2022!
The air was electric! There was such synergy–a meeting of kindred spirits and like minds. Everyone spoke with such conviction and determination. Many of us had endured hardships and heartaches that motivated us to devote our lives to benevolence and kindness.
We knew that each of us was helping to make the Minneapolis community a better place to live. Hugs, tears, smiles.Well wishes for a brighter future.
This meeting was a defining moment for all of us. It was without a doubt one of the most poignant experiences our Magnovo team ever had.
The strength of our commitment
Company team spirit at the Magnovo Training Group is ignited by charitable giving.
We’re not just in business to make money. We work hard every day to make a positive difference in people’s lives. We achieve this by partnering with our corporate clients and charities in their communities.
And every single time, we are astounded by the dedication of the people who run these charitable organizations. They serve people who desperately need support and kindness and their unselfish generosity is nothing short of remarkable.
It’s both an honor and a privilege to work with so many philanthropic citizens around the country. And it’s our mission to leave a legacy of kindness in our wake.
A bonanza of benevolence
Just half-way through the year, we’ve donated 1,292 items through our charitable teambuilding workshops. Corporations and charities from Florida to Nevada to Illinois to North Carolina–all doing good things for the greater good.
This means 221 kids are whizzing through their neighborhoods on brand new bikes thanks to our Bike-a-thon Charitable Workshops.
Leashes, water bowls, food, toys, veterinary bills–sometimes the price tags scare off would-be pet parents. Because of our Happy Tails Charitable Workshops at least 25 pets now have forever-homes thanks to our pet-care packets. Each donation made pet adoption a little more affordable.
And in patrol cars and EMS wagons around the nation 431 stuffed animals await the arms of new owners. These toys are lovingly assembled at our Rescue Buddies Charitable Workshops.
First responders distribute them to children who’ve just suffered a tragedy or trauma. It might be a house fire or a domestic violence case. Their new stuffed bear, bird, or fish will provide some of the comfort and security the child needs to cope.
For 50 patients, their hospital stay became more bearable thanks to our Hospital Helpers care packets. Fuzzy socks, stationery, books, toiletries–they always make the healing process easier.
Backpacks and school supplies. Non-perishable food baskets. Wagons and wheelchairs. Every client we serve, every donation we make, and every life we impact makes a tremendous difference. And our company team spirit rises to higher heights.
