The enthusiasm of G&R Connex’s staff at our latest Bike-a-Thon Charity Workshop epitomized the benefits of teambuilding to a tee. They were stoked, ready for fun, and willing to do whatever it took to make the workshop a success!
G&R Connex, a staffing and recruiting firm, brought 110 members of their staff to Rochester Michigan for an afternoon of bike building, team bonding, and general merriment. It was wonderful and wild!
The benefits of teambuilding in sharp “Focus”
The Royal Park Hotel in Rochester recommended Magnovo to G&R Connex, so it was only fitting that we used their ballroom for the workshop. And the hotel staff was sensational!
Rochester is just north of Detroit–a fact that may explain the table motif. You see, instead of numbers, each table in the ballroom was named for a Ford automobile. Think Fiesta, Focus, Explorer, Mustang, Ranger, Escape Fusion, Edge, and Expedition.
G&R Connex has a strong connection with Ford. The workshop participants do car shows all over the country–and not just any cars. Ford is their specialty. They school the public on the uniqueness of each Ford model wherever they go.
Magnvovo’s workshop was the kickoff of a week of intensive training. Members of this group travel so much they rarely meet face-to-face, so the training sessions were a welcomed break from the road as well as a chance to get to know each other better.
On the cutting “Edge” of teambuilding
They were all uber competitive but super easy to work with. Our facilitators had a blast! Revved up and on a roll, these guys assembled 16 bikes. And the Ford-F150 team was our grand champion.
They were so amped at the idea of giving the bikes to low-income kids; they helped us load them into our trucks.
What an amazing “Expedition!”
We delivered the brand, spanking new bikes to The Wrench: A Tool for Positive Action. This phenomenal charity restores old bikes for donation to needy children. But what’s more, they train and work with children to make the repairs!
The charity reps were stoked about having new bikes. The workshop participants insisted that the Bike-a-Thon was the most fun they’d ever had. Yes, thanks to our training on the benefits of teambuilding, the road ahead is looking pretty smooth for G&R Connex.
